Yes

General ‘non-wellness’, cough, allergies, skin infections, low energy

Was/is the provider affordable?

Because he does not accept insurance from anyone, his prices were reasonable. He lists them clearly on his website and follows through with the same price on the bill. You pay when you leave the appointment. The initial appointment is most expensive (200–300 dollars), but lasts up to 3 hours and is very thorough. The follow up appointments are around 20 or 30 dollars. I explained to him that I didn’t have much money. We made a deal that I would bring him some Vietnamese food from Tram’s in Pittsburgh for my follow up appointment and he traded me a quart of colloidal silver (medicine).

Please describe your experience with the provider’s support staff (if applicable).

The receptionists were welcoming and kind.

Please describe your experience with the provider.

Before my appointment, I filled out a 15 page questionnaire about all aspects of my health, responses to temperature, foods, bowel movements, mental health. I had an electro-acupuncture test done, then the initial appointment of two hours. He is disdainful of Western medicine practitioners, so he sometimes expressed that when I described my medical past, which made me feel like I had been “duped” in the past (not the greatest feeling). Aside from those moments, I felt comfortable telling him the details of my health and he asked a lot of questions while referring to my questionnaire. He seems to have had a lot of experience with homeopathy first hand and I trusted his diagnosis. Two hours was a long time and a lot of information!! I regretted not writing it all down, and some information I did not recall. I contacted him by phone a week later for clarification, which he gave without reserve.

Please describe the accessibilty of the practice for you.

I’m not sure about public transport; I drove. There is an elevator to the office.
